Qpr the Championship Winners are likely to face a big points deduction possibly up to -15 if they are found guilty of breaking strict third-party ownership rules over the signing of Alejandro Faurlin.

The hearing into the signing of the Argentine midfielder two years ago begins next Tuesday and a verdict will be delivered three days later.

An FA source said: "There's no question QPR have broken the rules. They know it as well. The only debate is what to do about it. "If they aren't found guilty you might as well scrap the rules about third-party owners."

Since then the FA have made third-party ownership illegal so the argument is QPR are offenders because they were well aware they were committing an offence.

So will they get points deductd? or will QPR be hit with a fine just like West Ham.

it's unfair to deduct points of a team on the verge of making the promotion to EPL .. it's unfair for everyone who gave his best a team that worked hard for a whole season n at the end u deduct points just for them being fond guilty of signing a player

Rules are rules bro,,,if you go against the rules then there are concequences.

It wouldn't be the 1st time a promoted team has been demoted for rule breaches.

In 1989/90 Swindon were Second Division play-off winners, but the club later admitted 36 charges of breaching league rules, 35 due to illegal payments made to players, and were relegated to the Third Division — giving Sunderland promotion to the First Division and Tranmere Rovers to the Second Division. A later appeal saw Swindon Town being allowed to stay in the Second Division.

its been done against other promoted teams in the past then why wouldnt it be done against Qpr?
